I believe this is part of a known issue. If you try installing Ubuntu 24 on some devices, it will not work unless you skip the network connection.
After installing ubuntu, I can connect to the wifi but I cannot connect to the internet. It's a laptop and I don't have an ethernet adapter so I can't test a wired connection. Every other device on the network works no problem.
Running nmcli device shows wifi is connected but something called p2p-dev-wlo1 is disconnected.
I can't install net-tools to run commands like ifconfig since I can't connect to the internet.
