I was trying to install Ubuntu when removing the usb stick an press enter moment came up i did that and got an error and the computer restarted showing errror.

Could not create MokListRT: Volume Full

Could not create MokListXRT: Volume Full

Could not create SbatLevelRT: Volume Full

Could not create MokListTrustedRT: Volume Full

Something has gone seriously wrong: import_mok_state() failed: Volume Full

So i searched here in askubuntu and saw someone having same problem so tried to do what he did with bios settings but the options in the bios to change the SATA controller were greyed out.

I thought it was an bios admin thing, so I added a password - just a basic password. After adding the password I found I could no longer enter the bios. It requires me to enter the password every time i start the computer, but I am hitting F2, del, or fn-f2 in every combinations possible holding, spamming, pressing once. I cannot get back into the bios.

I can still boot to windows fine though - I just can't change any bios settings ever! I can't flash the bios because I can't get to the EZ Flash tool (in bios or through F4). I can't remove the password for the same reason. Has anyone experience anything similar - was there a solutions? Thanks in advance.

Here are the things I tried:

Every pressing/holding/spamming function key that might do something - F2, F4, F5, F8, F10, F12 and DEL.

Resetting the bios with the bios clear jumpers, and separately, disconnecting the bios battery overnight. They both lead to the American Megatrends bios sceen asking me to press F1 to enter setup. It just goes to a bootable drive.

Disconnecting every bootable drive. When I press F2 or Del not, it just says "no boot option availible"

Holding down left shift on windows power down - selecting advanced options and boot to UEFI Setup. It skips UEFI and goes back to the boot drive.

Removed the processor - goes to "Press F1 for setup then does not go to setup - like I just cleared the CMOS".

It seems you are in panic mode, try relax and try;

  • Cannot go to bios due to password incorrect (or something related) : try to reset your bios (by removing CMOS or by resetting jumper - your motherboard manual should show the location)

  • "it just go to bootable drive", Because you have reset your bios, it doesn't know where to do the first boot. Go to your bios (by pressing F1) settings and then choose which drive to boot first. If you are not sure you can try each one until you find the correct one.

  • "no boot option available", This is due to you are disconnecting all bootable drive, try reconnect the drive again then choose the bootable drive.

  • Error "Volume Full" : means your drive is full, try to delete some files.

  • Make sure to check whether secure boot is enabled. For more check it here.

TLDR; reset the cmos, make sure all drive is connected then choose bootable drive.
