I have a dual boot with Windows 11, Ubuntu 22.04 and a system with these components: ASUS TUF z790 plus WiFi MB, NVIDIA 4060ti, Intel Core i7 1470kf, Corsair DDR5 6000 RAM, Kingston Fury Renegade 2TB SSD.

When I turn on my PC and it boots directly into Ubuntu, I quickly see the Ubuntu loading screen, then I get a white screen that turns to green, then red, then blue, then white and again and again… When I boot into Windows and then restart to go into Ubuntu, this error doesn't appear. When I go into recovery mode and click on "resume boot" I don't get this error either.

My Ubuntu is just out the box, and I barely touched anything. Does anybody have an idea how to fix this?

I'm also relatively new to Ubuntu, so it might be something stupid.

Try adding this to your boot sequence (press e after highlighting the boot mode.. its usually already highlighted)

find the line starting with linux like this: linux /boot/vmlinuz-5.15.0-73-generic root=UUID=[...]

add this to the end

vga=normal

Once you establish that this works for you, focus on the graphics drivers :)
