I recently migrated to Ubuntu 24.10 and found that with the latest kernel version the machine hangs on boot. (Samsung Galaxy book3 360) If I choose to boot with the older version it works. So, I wanted to remove the newer kernel, but when I try to remove the specific package, apt says it will remove the linux-generic package as well, which I've read shouldn't be removed. Is there a way to remove just the specific package? Thanks!
