I have tried all the relevant commands such but I keep getting stuck here again and again. I am guessing I will have to remove everything and do a re-install from my USB now. Will my old data in the computer still be accessible if I do this? Please help, I am an absolute novice at this so much that I wasn't even the one who had installed Ubuntu in the first place T___T
